The President’s House
Have you ever wondered what it would be like to live in the White House? I read recently some interesting facts about life in the President’s house. Check out this information:
-
There are ten bedrooms in the private living quarters. If more are needed, the third floor sitting room can be converted to bedrooms.
-
For relaxation, there is a movie theatre that seats 46, a heated outdoor pool, a one-lane bowling alley, tennis courts, a putting green, and a basketball court.
-
There’s also the staff: 96 full-time employees on hand to cater to the first family’s every need. There are chefs, maids, doormen, and housekeepers—even a staff photographer who will take pictures of the President by the hundreds.
-
Four calligraphers stand ready to inscribe the invitations to dinner guests. And a florist keeps fresh flowers in all the vases found throughout the house.
-
Of course, there is a medical team and hairdressers are on call 24 hours a day.
What a mansion! As Christians—we need to remember what the Bible says in John 14:1-3 (KJV), “In my Father’s house are many mansions… I go to prepare a place for you”.
Just think, we too will live in a mansion sometime in the future. But in our mansion there will be no stress, difficulties, headaches, or problems. The President can’t say that.
I think I’ll prefer my mansion to the White House mansion any day!
