Waiting
One of the hardest things to do in life is to WAIT. It seems like much of our time is spent waiting for something to happen:
Waiting... to finally get out of school
Waiting... to find a job
Waiting... to find a different job
Waiting... for that special person to come into your life
Waiting... for that relationship to be mended
Waiting... for the test results
Waiting... for that empty feeling to go away
Waiting... for your kids / grandkids to get their life turned around
Waiting... for that special event
Waiting… for the finances to get better
Waiting... and wanting something more out of life
Over 3000 years ago, King David talked about waiting in Psalm 38:15. David said this, "I wait for you, O Lord; you will answer, O Lord, my God" This verse implies that while David was waiting, he is also praying about it. Notice the faith David had in God: "you WILL answer". David did not say, "you might answer", or "there is a good chance", or "I hope". David has a great faith in God when he simply states, "you will answer". Why? Because you are "my God".
Are you having a hard time waiting today? Don't get discouraged--talk to God about it. He knows your situation even better than you do. He knows what is best and his timing is best.
Let's trust Him as we wait.
