What a football game

It happened on Saturday afternoon, October 7, 1916.  The Georgia Tech football team was up against Cumberland College.  Everyone knew the Yellow Jackets of Georgia Tech had an outstanding football team.  Cumberland College was notorious at having a bad team.  But no one expected the results of that day!  When the game ended, the score was:  Georgia Tech 222, Cumberland College 0.  No--that is not a typo, the score was 222-0.  Georgia Tech gained 978 yards carrying the ball.  They did not throw one pass.  Needless to say, it was not a good day for the small college of Tennessee.

Do you ever have one of those days when you feel totally defeated!  When you feel "beaten down" and think that you are a loser.

Jesus said, "You did not choose me, but I chose you..."  (John 15:16).  If the Creator of the universe wants us on His team--we're winners!
